Harvey A Winkler, MD OBGYN FPMRS USA

Dr. Harvey Winkler is the System Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwell Health as well as the Program Director of the ACGME accredited fellowship program in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Northwell Health. He is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and an Assistant Investigator, Clinical Track, Patient Oriented Research, at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.

Dr. Winkler received a B.A in Economics from Yeshiva University in 1998 and an M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1992.  He completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996 at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Evanston Hospital, currently known Northshore University Health System, in 1998. Dr. Winkler is anticipating completing an MBA in Health Services Management, at Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business, in May of this year.

Dr. Winkler has been actively clinically as well academically. He has been listed in New York Magazine’s Best Doctors magazine. Dr. Winkler is dedicated to research and education and is a mentor and teacher to medical students, residents, and fellows. He has authored and published dozens of peer reviewed articles and has presented his research at nationally and internationally at scientific meetings. Dr. Winkler is a leader who advocates clinical research as the cornerstone of evidence based medicine. He has over 25 years of research experience, and over 18 years of research experience specifically in the field of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
